Wild animals in the city centre

The king of the forest, the elk, is one of this years Christmas decoration in the city of Stockholm. These animals are made by more than 710 000 led lights. The lights turns on automatically when it gets dark, wich it is for many hours in a row this time of year. Sweden have about 400 000 elks. However very few find their way to the city centre of Stockholm. Nor do we have icebears on the streets in the city centre, as some think.

One of the best things with Stockholm and Sweden are the four different seasons. We are now facing two long dark months where days are getting shorter and shorter. This is the time when Stockholm shortly leaves all the beautiful autumn colors and leave trees naked and without leaves. This is the time for recharging ourselfs after a long wonderful summer. We love it.

Late summer in Stockholm

After many long and hot summer days we are slowly facing lower temperatures and shorter days. Stockholm will shortly be filled with the autumn colours and stockholmers are preparing and charging for the coming winther.
